Elliot was born at 4:54pm on Monday 22 May 1989 at St James Hospital, Leeds and weighed in at 7lb 8oz. He was named Elliot, taking the E from Ethel Barnett, Donna's Grandmother. We added James, just because it went well with Elliot.
Donna objected to his proposed 13 middle names that dad, David wanted him to have. What ever is wrong with Elliot Harvey Reaney Cooper Bremner, Charlton, Hunter Lorimer Clarke, Jones Giles Gray Madeley Revie Bransby?
Within hours of being born, Elliot was football mad, and especially, Leeds United! What choice did he have, his room was already decorated in Leeds colours! Nursery rhymes were replaced with, Marching On Together and other Leeds United anthems!
His first school was Deborah Taylor Nursery, then on to Brodetsky Primary, where he excelled in being both a blegitch and a chuckily!
At Allerton High School, Elliot took incessant chatter to a new level! When he took to listening in equal measures, he was quite a bright young man, and loved Food Technology. Quite a little chef was our Elli, with his skills and enthusiasm picked up from spending time with his Grandma Nita.
In August 1999 aged just 10, and as a result of real life 'holiday from hell', Elliot had a stroke. Early on, it was unclear whether or not he would survive - but he did, and went on to accomplish great things, making his family so incredibly proud of him. We were to be blessed with twenty further golden years.
One such achievement was over the weekend of 25/26 May 2002, when he had his Bar Mitzvah. Very much a 'themed affair', we took over UHC, and turned it into something resembling Leeds United's Elland Road stadium! It was his 'shining hour' and close on 200 family & friends joined in the celebrations. It was at Elliot's Bar Mitzvah that the Leeds United crest was modified to include EJB.
Elliot's devotion to his team was clear, and he went on to hold a season ticket at section N9 for many, many years. Elliot travelled extensively, and even went on a pre season tour of Norway.
You may be fooled to think that Leeds United was Elliot's one true love, but no. Elliot's true love was his family.
